Terms and conditions

Welcome to Mediajungles

Mediajungles is a website that allows you to buy and sell text documents, images, and audio-video files you own the copyright to, or that you are allowed to sell, or that are in the public domain, without a subscription.

Content policy

Incitement to violence, incitement to terrorism, illegal activity, and the promotion of illegal activity, spam, MLM programs, legal and financial advice without qualifications, fanfiction, AI generated content of any kind, animal abuse, self-harm, pornographic content, misinformation, and everything else barred by my credit card processing company are also blocked by mediajungles. Distasteful content, deceptive titles, jailbait, animal fighting, and publishing secret or restricted government data are also not allowed. Mediajungles will comply with court orders.

Non-agreement agreement clause

Using mediajungles to sell your media does not lock you, the publisher into any exclusive or permanent contract. You are free to sell on as many other platforms, sites, and in print as you would like and you continue to own your intellectual property during, and after selling on mediajungles. The publisher is also able to remove content from sale at their discretion.

Cookies

A minimum of cookies are collected to prevent DDOS attacks. Mediajungles doesnt want to track you and makes money through legitimate means, and has no interest in advertising. We wont keep, cross-reference or share cookies unless with the minimum specified by Wix, which is the hosting provider, and DDOS prevention services. We do not sell personal data. We do not analyze your data.

Profit Motive

Publishers are expected to post content with a profit motive. This is not a sharing platform. Sharing is for children. That said, publishers are welcome to price their content in very low increments. Video should be priced at no less than a dollar per hour. Prices must end in a 5 or 0, and -99 or -95 pricing is prohibited. The lowest item price is five cents.

Aaron Schwartz Rule

Downloading to repost whole libraries may be illegal, but reposting academic research behind a firewall that is not subject to copyright, as long as it is done part-by-part is completely fine.

Non Permanence

Businesses uploading content are entitled to revenue from their stores, and many businesses can upload identical content. Inactive stores are subject to having their account frozen. Products are sold “as physical” so that once the buyers buy it, it stays in their possession, and can not be recalled.

Royalties

At this time, we have no way to split royalties, its up to uploader to do it.

Secondary Advertising

Secondary advertising, which is an advertisement break in a photo gallery, pdf, video, or audio is not allowed. Multimedia secondary advertisements are also not allowed. But if your content already has product placement, or it was initially recorded with secondary ads, you are not required to remove it. Links to your other works are not secondary ads. Mediajungles is not responsible for links to outside websites.

Copyright

Posting From Outside The United States

Mediajungles is intended for use in English, for U.S. audience aged 14 and over. We are happy to have non-U.S. users who agree to comply with copyright law in the U.S. Note that the Supreme Court has ruled in Kirtsaeng v. John Wiley & Sons, 2013 that legally held copyright in a foreign country can be brought into the U.S. And resold, which seems it would also apply to legally held copyright posted from a foreign country for resale.

Meta Terms and Conditions

The rules are not exhaustive, and mediajungles will need to add and adjust policies in response to demands by the hosting and credit card processing providers and law, should that change. All parties agree to good faith use of the site, and all parties agree that mediajungles reserves the right to make arbitrary decisions, without justification.
